FAQ

Roofing Questions, Answered

Straight answers about roof repair, replacement, hail damage and insurance claims in North Texas.

Common questions

How much does a roof inspection cost?

Residential roof inspections are free across our service area, with no obligation.

What areas do you serve?

We serve McKinney, Frisco, Allen, Prosper, Celina, Plano, Carrollton, Lewisville, Coppell, Dallas, Denton and all of Collin County, plus surrounding North Texas cities.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. Our roofs come with a 2-year workmanship (labor) warranty in addition to the shingle manufacturer's material warranty.

What roofing materials do you install?

Mostly architectural asphalt shingles from GAF and Owens Corning, including Class 4 impact-resistant options. We also install and repair modified bitumen and coated flat roofs for commercial buildings.

Do you help with insurance claims?

Yes. We inspect and photograph the damage, meet your adjuster, and review the insurance estimate for missing items. Texas law does not allow contractors to act as your public adjuster or to waive your deductible, and we follow those rules.

Will you waive my deductible?

No. Waiving, absorbing or rebating an insurance deductible is illegal in Texas under Insurance Code Chapter 707. Any contractor offering to do so is putting you at risk.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most homes take one to two days. We will give you a schedule before we start.

Do you clean up after the job?

Yes. We protect landscaping and AC units, haul away all debris, and run magnetic sweepers over the yard and driveway to pick up nails.

Do you work with realtors?

Yes. We provide fast pre-listing and buyer inspections with photo reports and can turn around repairs during the option period.

How do I schedule?

Call or text (469) 269-2964, message us on WhatsApp, or use the request form on our contact page.

Do I need to be home during the replacement?

No. We need access to the driveway and an exterior outlet. We will walk the property with you before we start and again when we finish.

Will my insurance pay for a new roof?

If the roof was damaged by a covered event like hail or wind, your policy may cover replacement minus your deductible. We inspect, document the damage with photos and can meet your adjuster on site. Your insurer decides what is covered.

What shingles do you recommend?

For most homes we install architectural shingles such as GAF Timberline HDZ or Owens Corning. If hail is a concern, ask about Class 4 impact-resistant lines. Check your HOA's approved colors before choosing.

Can you match my existing shingles?

Usually, yes. We identify the shingle line and color. Older or discontinued shingles can be harder to match exactly; we will show you the closest option before we install it.

How fast can you come out for a leak?

Call (469) 269-2964. We prioritize active leaks and can often tarp the area the same or next day to stop further damage.

Is wind damage covered by insurance?

Wind damage is a covered peril on many Texas homeowner policies, subject to your deductible. We document the damage with photos so you can decide whether to file a claim.

How do I know if hail damaged my roof?

Hail damage is hard to see from the ground. Look for dented gutters, vents or AC fins, and granules at the bottom of downspouts. The only way to be sure is an on-roof inspection—we do it for free.

Will filing a hail claim raise my rates?

Hail is generally treated as a weather (“act of God”) claim. Rate questions are best answered by your agent; we can give you the damage photos to discuss with them before you file.

Can you pay my deductible?

No. Waiving or rebating an insurance deductible is illegal in Texas (Insurance Code Chapter 707). Be cautious of any contractor who offers.

Should I call my insurance company or a roofer first?

Many homeowners have a roofer inspect first, so they know whether there is real damage before opening a claim. Either order works; just do not let the filing deadline pass.

Is the inspection really free?

Yes. Residential roof inspections in our service area are free with no obligation.

How long does an inspection take?

Usually 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size and pitch of the roof and attic access.

Do I get a report?

Yes. You receive photos of what we found and a plain-language summary of any recommended repairs.

Do you work on occupied buildings?

Yes. We schedule around business hours where needed and keep the work area safe and clean.

Can you just coat my old flat roof?

Sometimes. Coatings work well on roofs that are still structurally sound and dry. If the membrane is saturated or badly blistered, a coating will not fix it; we will tell you which situation you are in.

Can you remove and reinstall solar panels?

Yes. Panels have to come off for a full roof replacement. We coordinate the detach and reset so your system is reinstalled on the new roof.
