Roof Replacement for North Texas Homes

When repairs stop making sense, we replace the whole system the right way: a full tear-off down to the deck, new underlayment, new flashing and ventilation, and shingles rated for Texas hail and wind. Most homes are done in one to two days.

Signs it is time to replace, not repair

  • Shingles are 15–20+ years old, curling, cracking or shedding granules into the gutters.
  • Hail has bruised or fractured shingles across several slopes, not just one spot.
  • You have recurring leaks in different areas, or soft spots in the decking.
  • An insurance adjuster has approved a full replacement after a storm.
  • You are selling and the buyer's inspector flagged the roof.

What is included in an A-Roof replacement

  • Complete tear-off of old shingles and felt, with magnetic nail sweeps of the yard and driveway.
  • Deck inspection; damaged or rotted plywood/OSB replaced (we show you photos first).
  • Ice & water shield in valleys and around penetrations, plus synthetic underlayment over the full deck.
  • New drip edge, pipe boots, step and counter flashing where needed.
  • Ridge vents or replacement roof vents sized for proper attic airflow.
  • Architectural shingles from GAF (Timberline HDZ) or Owens Corning, with impact-resistant Class 4 options.
  • Final walk-through, photo report and a 2-year workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer warranty.

North Texas roofs take a beating. Spring hail, summer heat that pushes attic temperatures well past 130°F, and straight-line winds all shorten the life of a roof. A replacement is a big decision, so we start with an honest inspection and photos of what we find. If your roof can be repaired, we will tell you.

If you are replacing anyway, it is worth asking about Class 4 impact-resistant shingles. They are built to resist hail damage better than standard shingles, and many Texas insurers offer a premium discount for them. Ask your insurance agent what discount applies to your policy.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most single-family homes are torn off and re-roofed in one to two days. Larger or steeper roofs, or homes that need a lot of decking replaced, can take longer. Weather can shift the schedule; we never leave a roof open to rain.

Do I need to be home during the replacement?

No. We need access to the driveway and an exterior outlet. We will walk the property with you before we start and again when we finish.

Will my insurance pay for a new roof?

If the roof was damaged by a covered event like hail or wind, your policy may cover replacement minus your deductible. We inspect, document the damage with photos and can meet your adjuster on site. Your insurer decides what is covered.

What shingles do you recommend?

For most homes we install architectural shingles such as GAF Timberline HDZ or Owens Corning. If hail is a concern, ask about Class 4 impact-resistant lines. Check your HOA's approved colors before choosing.
