Hail & Storm Damage Roof Repair

North Texas is one of the most hail-prone regions in the country. After a storm, we inspect your roof slope by slope, mark and photograph every hit, and give you the documentation you need to make a decision about your insurance claim.

What hail damage looks like

  • Dark spots where granules have been knocked off, often soft to the touch (bruising).
  • Cracked or fractured shingles and broken shingle edges.
  • Dents in metal vents, turbines, flashing, gutters and downspouts.
  • Granules piling up at the bottom of downspouts.
  • Dents on AC units, mailboxes or patio covers—a clue the roof was hit too.

How we help with your insurance claim

  • Free inspection with a test square on each slope and a full photo report.
  • We explain what we found in plain language so you can decide whether to file.
  • We meet your insurance adjuster on the roof so nothing gets missed.
  • We review the insurer's estimate line by line and flag missing items such as drip edge, starter, ridge, vents or code upgrades.
  • We build to the approved scope and keep you updated with photos.

Texas law protects homeowners here. Under Texas Insurance Code Chapter 707, a contractor cannot waive, absorb or rebate your insurance deductible—and a contractor who offers to is breaking the law. Texas also prohibits roofing contractors from acting as a public adjuster on your claim. We follow both rules. We document damage and work alongside your adjuster; your insurer decides coverage.

Do not wait too long. Many Texas homeowner policies give you a limited window—often one year from the date of the storm—to file a claim. Hail damage can also lead to leaks months later. If a storm rolled through your neighborhood, an inspection costs you nothing.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if hail damaged my roof?

Hail damage is hard to see from the ground. Look for dented gutters, vents or AC fins, and granules at the bottom of downspouts. The only way to be sure is an on-roof inspection—we do it for free.

Will filing a hail claim raise my rates?

Hail is generally treated as a weather (“act of God”) claim. Rate questions are best answered by your agent; we can give you the damage photos to discuss with them before you file.

Can you pay my deductible?

No. Waiving or rebating an insurance deductible is illegal in Texas (Insurance Code Chapter 707). Be cautious of any contractor who offers.

Should I call my insurance company or a roofer first?

Many homeowners have a roofer inspect first, so they know whether there is real damage before opening a claim. Either order works; just do not let the filing deadline pass.
